Presidents Letter

December 2012

Dear PA Sweeps,

Well, with the election behind us and an uncertain tax fight between the White House and Congress, let’s hope all our customers decide to continue the services of sweeps in our great state of Pennsylvania. It has been a good last quarter for my company. This made up for a below normal and HOT summer.

With our 15th Charity workshop behind us, it was a good time had by all. CampAnderson was the site of the first workshop, and it needed help again. Details and photos can be seen on the Guild’s Facebook page. Please join this page to keep up with the current events of the guild.

Our Charity workshop this year will be at another previous location –BedfordVillage in BedfordCounty. The exact dates will be set at our January meeting in a few weeks. It will be in early May. – Plan to attend!!

The Guild would like to have 1 other training event this Spring. We will work out the details on this at our January meet also. Your input counts. We have talked about the chimney physics class from the CISA. It’s a great class, but we have to careful since this course has been offered in surrounding states and it is a large commitment in funds from the guild.

Please plan to attend our Winter meeting and holiday party on January 12th 2013. This event will be held at the Station Square Sheraton in Pittsburg. A formal dinner will also take place that evening at the Grand Concourse just down the street. Dinner for you and a guest will be included with your paid membership.

Please check upcoming events at our website or Facebook page. (www.paguild.org) link to Facebook is on the Guild website.

Under Become A Member is your application for 2013 registration. Please return it before the holiday party. If you will be attending, please let me know before January 1st.

Put your membership to work- come to our events, they are not a waste of time. Training and new ideas are always welcome.

Yours in Sweeping
